										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Crosslight is proud to announce new features &#038; milestones for its upcoming v2020 release:</p>
<ul>
<li> FDFD optical solver upgraded to include
<ul>
<li> 3D vectoral eigen mode solver in Cartersian coordinates</li>
<li> Waveguide &amp; free space propagation solver </li>
<li> Microcavity mode solver </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li> FDFD perturbation model implemented to improve accuracy of<br />
multi-mode vectorial simulations without incurring the cost of a full<br />
solution of the Maxwell equations at all bias steps.
</li>
<li> New mesh system with zero heterojunction gap model implemented.<br />
Previous/classic mesh model were based on material separation at a<br />
molecular scale.
</li>
<li> DLL interface for QCL devices released to users wishing to<br />
include their own physical models related to tunneling and<br />
scattering time models.
</li>
<li> Numerous minor bug fixes and upgrades including:
<ul>
<li> More flexibility in controlling how frequent the optical solver is called in a scan. </li>
<li> More bias dependent output variables. </li>
<li> Scan function control according to data file data.</li>
<li> Scanning of optical layer thickness to see the effect of optical phase change. </li>
<li> Import/export to Maxmode FDFD module.</li>
<li> For PD/solar cell,  more flexible light incident options. </li>
<li> Gaussian type of gain broadening implemented in addition to Lorentzian, Landsberg, and sech(). </li>
<li> Off state/reverse junction leakage, dark current model upgrade to improve accuracy of simulation at small currents.</li>
</ul>

</ul>
<p>This version will be released later this year, after final testing has been completed. Customers with an up-to-date maintenance contract can contact their local sales representatives if they wish to try these new features right away.</p>
